Reactive Dog Training in Chattanooga, TN
Helping dogs and their people find stability, safety, and real behavioral change through a thoughtful, nervous-system–informed approach.
About Canine Movement Lab
At Canine Movement Lab, we specialize in working with dogs who don’t fit the mold—dogs who are reactive, anxious, easily overwhelmed, or struggling with behavioral challenges.
If walks feel stressful, if your dog is constantly on edge, or if training hasn’t worked long-term, you’re in the right place.
We are based in Chattanooga, TN and we focus on understanding behavior at a deeper level, supporting the nervous system, and creating lasting change—not just temporary control.
Support for Reactive and Sensitive Dogs
We work with dogs who experience the world a little more intensely—dogs who are reactive on leash, easily overwhelmed, or unsure in new environments. This often looks like barking or lunging on walks, difficulty settling at home, sensitivity to people or other dogs, or challenges with handling and touch. We also support newly adopted dogs, including those who may appear shut down or withdrawn as they adjust.
Our work is not about forcing compliance—it’s about helping your dog feel safe enough to make different choices.
A Nervous-System–Informed Approach to Dog Training
Behavior is not just something to fix—it’s something to understand. Rather than focusing on surface-level training alone, we look at the underlying patterns shaping your dog’s responses.
This includes your dog’s stress and arousal levels, the environmental pressures they’re navigating, and how movement and decompression support regulation. We also pay close attention to the relationship between you and your dog, because that connection plays a central role in how change happens.
From there, we build a training plan that supports both meaningful behavior change and greater emotional stability.
