About

I help people in Chattanooga, TN and beyond work with fearful, reactive, and aggressive dogs, especially those who have experienced trauma, conflict, or repeated stress. As a dog behaviorist, I focus on the connection between humans and dogs, recognizing that their nervous systems are constantly communicating.
Rather than addressing behavior alone, I guide owners to understand what their dog’s nervous system experiences and how safety, stress, and connection show up in the body. Because dogs are highly attuned to the emotional and physiological states of the humans around them, I also invite clients to explore how their own nervous system may influence the household. This approach often feels less like “training” and more like tending to a family system, where everyone participates in the healing process.
I specialize in working with dogs stuck in survival states—fight, flight, or shutdown—using slow, body-based practices inspired by somatic therapy and Polyvagal Theory. My methods help dogs gradually feel safe, settle, and reconnect without pushing them beyond their limits.
My mission is to help owners learn to listen—to their dog, to the subtle signals of the nervous system, and to themselves. By prioritizing a dog’s sense of safety, we often uncover pathways to human healing as well. This work restores connection, promotes trust, and supports long-term behavioral change.
