I am SO PICKY about what I put on my dogs, so this list is curated with only the very best and most natural products. Anything you put on the skin gets absorbed into the body, so please keep that in mind, for humans and for dogs. We also don't want our dogs to be able to lick anything that wouldn't normally be edible.
I recommend that you bathe your dog as infrequently as possible, because washing away natural oils disturbs the microbiome of the skin, which is a natural layer of protection against the elements and other toxins.
If your dog smells bad and produces a lot of oil on the skin, we should first address the diet and what's going on internally. Dogs who eat biologically appropriate and balanced diets naturally have clear skin and soft fur.
