Made With Love: Felted Wool "Tennis" Ball
Did you know that tennis balls can contain glue that is harmful and toxic to your dogs? Tennis balls were not made for dogs--these felted wool fetch toys are! There are no synthetic dyes or chemicals in these puppies, just hand-felted Vermont wool over a silicone rubber ball.
Eva the Diva went ballistic for this ball! (She's a former tennis-ball junkie.) It is not recommended that you let your dog chew on this fetch toy, but since we like to do extensive product testing, we allowed her to chew on this thing to her heart's content. It withstood a good session of chewing with no signs of tearing. We were happy with the overall bounciness of the ball, which we tested by bouncing it off of a stockade fence in our racquetball-style fetch game.
This toy is 100% American-made. You can throw it in the washer and dryer inside a nylon sock in order to 1. Clean it of grime, drool, and slobber, and 2. Re-initiate the felting process, thereby "locking down" any loose fibers. Et voilá, good as new! This ball fits in a standard ball thrower, and it also floats!
