Natural Obedience Level One: Working with Your Dog's Drive

In this course, we help you learn what truly motivates your dog and how to train obedience behaviors using their natural drive. We use food, toys, and praise to shape the following commands: Sit, Down, Stay, Place, and Recall. This class is for dogs 6 months and older. We will meet once per week for 5 weeks, and each class runs for 45 minutes.
This program is designed to give you and your dog the foundations for clear communication, trust, and the willingness to work together. We will tailor the training to fit your dog’s individual needs. Please make sure your dog is hungry when they come to class. You should bring their regular food and favorite treats. Please have a bait bag and a four foot lead. We also suggest having a martingale collar, but a slip collar is fine. If you use a flat collar, it must be fitted so that the dog cannot back slip their collar.
